I live with my husband and 2 children, aged 4 and 6 years in Lower Earley in Reading. This site should tell you a little about my business.
I am no longer childminding, but am working for a brilliant committee run preschool called Earleybird Preschool. We are currently trying to raise money for a new building and any support from businesses or individuals would be fantastic.

I have loved being a stay at home mother, and to me childminding is the perfect job for me to be doing, as helping children grow, develop and learn is such a rewarding yet challenging role. Prior to becoming a mother & childminder I was a retail manager, which has left me with many skills easily transferable to my role as a childminder. I was responsible for other people, for their health and safety, for providing equal opportunities, for my own time management. I was often a counsellor for my staff, a friendly listening ear, and most importantly for ensuring my team had fun while they worked. As a childminder I am responsible for those same things, plus many more, most importantly we play, as play is paramount to children’s learning. We have a 4 bedroom house with a back garden. Both my husband and I have had police checks and I have had a medical check. I have public liability insurance and am insured to take children in my car with your permission. I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and have attended many training workshops. I am currently undertaking the Level 3 Certificate in Children's Care Learning and Development.
